As the Funan wicker weaving industry has developed rapidly, problems such as a single product category, a lack of innovation, and lagging design concepts exist. This paper clearly defined the core foothold of integrating Funan wicker weaving into product design—cultural dissemination, ideological education, and empowerment of the local economy. It emphasizes enhancing the cultural value of products through modern design concepts. Based on practice and research, it proposes systematic design strategies from five dimensions (refining classic objects, cross-border integration of materials, revitalizing traditional skills, optimizing interactive experience, and rooting in regional culture). It is expected to provide theoretical reference and practical paths for enhancing the market competitiveness of Funan wicker weaving, improving brand awareness, assisting local economic development, and strengthening cultural confidence. |
