| 摘要 | In this paper, through a methodology combining theoretical research and field investigation, the project of urban renewal at Xidan Renewal Site in Beijing was studied from the aspects of data analysis, investigation of people's behaviors, measurement of its scale, and architectural history. Besides, how urban renewal creates new urban vitality was demonstrated. It has certain guiding and reference significance for research on urban renewal. Remarkable results have been achieved, such as rationalizing the internal functions of old residential areas, improving circulation experience conditions, and promoting and recreating unique cultural features. It is a case of engineering innovation in urban renewal in the core areas of domestic cities. |
