Quercus glauca, Phyllostachys edulis, Phoebe zhennan, and Camphora officinarum are the primary species constituting Sichuan Province's forest resources. To analyze the key environmental factors influencing their distribution and explore their ecologically suitable ranges, this study employed Geographic Information Systems and an optimized Maximum Entropy (MaxEnt) model to simulate their ecological niches based on geographic distribution point data and 37 environmental factors. Results indicate the MaxEnt model achieved high accuracy with AUC values exceeding 0.8. The most influential environmental factors for the distribution of Q. glauca, P. edulis, P. zhennan, and C. officinarum were minimum temperature of the coldest month, elevation, precipitation of the wettest month, and elevation, respectively. Their suitable ranges were 1–7 ℃, 447–991 m, 247–426 mm, and 6–490 m. The potential suitable areas for these four species are primarily distributed in basins and their surrounding mountainous regions, with Q. glauca exhibiting the largest distribution area of 10.2×10⁴ km². This study aims to provide references for resource conservation and utilization, as well as the selection of cultivation sites. |
