This article reviews the latest research progress on acacetin: regarding cardioprotection, it mitigates myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury and chronic heart failure by modulating the HMGB1/RAGE and GAS6/Axl pathways. In the liver, it alleviates alcoholic liver injury through antioxidant and anti-inflammatory mechanisms. In the nervous system, it improves depression-like behaviors by inhibiting the HIF-1α/NLRP3 pathway. In bones and joints, it ameliorates osteoarthritis by blocking the JAK/STAT pathway. Furthermore, it reduces acute lung injury by inhibiting the NLRP3 inflammasome and improves diabetic vascular endothelial dysfunction via the eNOS/PERK pathway. These findings provide a theoretical basis for the development and utilization of acacetin. |
